Website and service agreement
Terms of Service
Last updated: August 25, 2026
These terms cover this website and any pest-control work carried out by PC New Bedford, trading as PC New Bedford, in New Bedford and the surrounding service area. Your signed quote or work authorization may add terms for your property, and where the two disagree, the signed document controls that job.
1. What the website content is
Guides, FAQs, and prevention tips on this site, including our pest guides and the eight service pages, are general information. They are not a pest diagnosis, medical advice, structural advice, or a promise of results. Conditions change with the species, life cycle, building, access, weather, neighboring properties, and level of infestation. Only a field inspection and approved written scope set the actual work.
2. Inspections and quotes
An inspection covers what we can safely reach on the day. In older New Bedford housing that regularly means we cannot see inside closed wall cavities, behind finished cellar walls, under an inaccessible crawlspace, above an unsafe roof line, or inside a neighbouring unit of a two or three family. Every quote carries its own expiration date, assumptions, exclusions, and change-order process.
3. What we need from you
- Give us accurate contact and property details.
- Arrange legal access plus any owner, tenant, HOA, or manager approval.
- Tell us about pets, children, sensitive occupants, hazards, past pesticide use, and known damage.
- Keep people and animals away from our equipment and follow the prep instructions.
- Finish the agreed cleanup, storage, trimming, repair, or access tasks that affect the outcome.
4. Scheduling and changes
Arrival windows shift with traffic, weather, emergency calls, roof safety, and the job before yours. Give us reasonable notice to reschedule. Charges for late cancellation, missed access, specialty equipment, or a return trip apply only when the quote or service agreement listed them first.
5. Order of the work
Treatment order follows the pest and the approved method. Bed bug preparation, cockroach sanitation, termite access, rodent removal before final sealing, mosquito source reduction, and the customer steps attached to each of them all affect the result. We stop work when access is unsafe, when protected wildlife may be present, when another licensed trade is needed first, or when site conditions make responsible treatment impossible.
6. Payment
Prices, deposits, milestones, payment methods, and due dates appear in the approved service document. Undisputed balances are due as written there. Work outside the agreed scope needs your approval before we bill it.
7. Warranties and limits
A warranty exists only when it is in writing. It applies to the listed work, the stated period, the named property, and the conditions written into the agreement. It can exclude new damage, building movement, changes made by you or a third party, recommendations you did not complete, pressure from neighboring properties, areas we could not reach, and any opening outside the approved scope.
No pest-control company can stop every insect or animal from living outdoors or arriving from an attached unit or the property next door. What we owe you is the work and the remedies written into your agreement, subject to applicable law.
8. Property damage and other trades
Existing wear, hidden defects, contaminated material, damaged wiring, plumbing leaks, roof defects, wood damage, and structural repairs can call for an electrician, plumber, roofer, general contractor, arborist, engineer, or another licensed professional. We are not responsible for conditions outside the approved pest-control scope.
9. Website ownership and outside links
The original text, photographs, layout, and brand materials on this site belong to or are licensed by PC New Bedford. You are welcome to read them for personal use. Do not republish them as another company's content. Outside links are references only, and each destination runs under its own terms.
10. Liability and disputes
To the extent state law allows, the liability tied to any service is limited by your signed agreement and by applicable law. Before you file a formal claim, contact us with the property address, the service date, the problem, and the fix you want. That gives us a fair chance to inspect and respond.
11. Governing law
Massachusetts law governs these terms, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. If any part of this page cannot be enforced, that part is narrowed only as far as needed and the rest stays in force.
12. Contact
Send questions through our contact page, email info@pestcontrolnewbedford.cc or call (508) 276-7430. Mail can go to PC New Bedford, New Bedford service area, New Bedford, MA 02740.
